Do dormice ever come in through the window?
They could but it would be a direct contravention of their ‘breed name licence agreement’ and would result in all dormice losing the right to the name ‘Dormouse’ Until another suitable name could be applied for and approved they would simply be known as Rodent 548. A similar case occured when a Grass snake was found living in straw. The species immediatly lost their naming rights and had to file for reinstatement through the courts, finally taking their case to the World Wildlife Fund commission. An interesting test of these regulations occured when an objection was lodged by a 3 Toed Sloth against Fruit Bats as it was felt this implied they were made of fruit. The case was dropped using the desicion precedent of an old case involving the Wood Pigeon.
