Do donor applicants undergo a comprehensive screening process?
Yes. All of our donor applicants do undergo an extensive screening process – for detailed information on tests and screenings carried out on all donors, please follow this link. Our screening guidelines meet and exceed the EU screening requirements for sperm donors. Furthermore, we adhere to the Danish Ministry of Health’s screening guidelines as well as several international organization’s screening guidelines. Note that we are the only European Sperm Bank to screen all of our sperm donors for Cystic Fibrosis (a genetic disease with a carrier frequency of 3-4%).
