Do Dolly Parton, George Strait, Tim McGraw and Reba McEntire write their own songs?
Here is a list of some of the songs they have written or co-written. Dolly Parton has basically written most of her own songs. Especially most of the ones that she releases as singles. George Strait doesn’t write any of his own songs, but does produce every single one of them. Tim McGraw co-wrote If You’re Reading This and My Little Girl. Reba McEntire doesn’t write her own songs either. Sometimes she does produce them though. Plus, I know exactly how you feel. I love Martina McBride, but when I learned that she didn’t write her own songs, I was disappointed. I don’t know why, but it just means a lot if the song is actually coming from the person performing it’s heart.
