Do dogs understand different languages ?
Of course. Dogs understand a few words of whatever language they hear around them. However, a dog won’t be able to tell you if its owner is bi-lingual. I used to live with a Dutch family whose dogs responded to both English and Dutch commands equally well. I think, so far as the dogs knew, there were just a few different human words that meant the same thing.
