Do DL students need to take the CASAS pre/post tests?

0

Yes for ESL and GED students. If a student is currently enrolled in a traditional class (teacher-directed class), then the student is not required to take the CASAS test again (for example, if a DL student enrolled in course # 50-01-92, Putting English to Work 2, is also enrolled in a traditional ESL Beginning High class at your school, then she wouldn’t have to re-take the test, as long as she took it in the traditional class). If the DL student is solely a DL student (not enrolled in a regular class), then he must take the CASAS tests. Note: Concurrent students are not required to take CASAS tests.
