Do dental X-rays pose any danger to children?

0

The digital X-rays that we use are safe and put off very little radiation compared to older standard X-rays. Unless early dental problems have been identified, a child’s first dental X-rays are not needed until age 5 or 6 when the first adult teeth start surfacing. At this stage we’ll be looking to make sure that teeth are cavity-free and properly seating into the jaw.
