Do demons mime the phonemes of the world itself?
Demons have all knowledge. Being in rebellion against God, they have a series of false beliefs, one of which relevant here is that they have all time, as well. “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (Revelation 12:12). Until that happens, the demons really think they can take over this planet in one simple way–convincing us humans to destroy ourselves. Once we’re gone, they’ll move in to the abandoned place like so many squatters and settle down. The interesting thing is that their plan is brilliantly accurate: “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days” (Mark 13:20). Thus, the demons’ one tool that they use well is speaking to humans to give them ideas of hatred and violence to their destruction. Count
