Yes, Death Knights have a unique Starting Experience that takes place in an instanced zone. Death Knights start in Acherus: The Ebon Hold, a necropolis floating above a small Scarlet Crusade stronghold in Eastern Plaguelands. In this area, the new Death Knight must complete a series of quests before their can leave the instanced area and join the “regular” game world.
