Do Danes Make Friends Easily?
They seem to be fine with other pets including dogs and cats. It is best if the introduction is while they are a puppy rather than an older dog. Usually, if there are any problems they work it out in a playful fashion rather than an aggressive one. My two cats get along fine with the Danes, it didn’t happen overnight. It did get to the point where the cats actually curl up and sleep with the Danes, usually right across the paws. Always make the introduction of pets to each other a slow process and under your supervision to insure safety as there are cases when they will hate each other and fight! You just don’t know for sure till you try it. Jade (the Dane) made friends with Billy, a lost goat and shared a meal with him. You just never know what can happen!
