Do current exercise prescription guidelines need to be modified according to the environment?
Supervisors: Dr John Sproule and Dr Tony Turner Research topic: The benefits of health habitual and moderate intensity Physical activity are well documented in several epidemiological literatures, but the influence on thermoregulatory responses during exercise in a warm environment is still unclear. There are many factors, which can have a direct influence on body health and Physical activity levels. This study aims to investigate the physiological response corresponding to the current exercise guidelines in different temperatures (18 ºC & 30 ºC). The objective is to determine whether the current exercise prescription guidelines need to be modified according to the environment in summer season to promote the public health awareness.
