Do current eighth grade students have to complete an electronic personal education plan (ePEP) on FACTS.org?

0

Current eighth grade students are NOT required by state law to complete an ePEP on FACTS.org prior to grade nine. (The law requires eighth graders in the 08-09 class and beyond to have an ePEP prior to grade nine promotion.) However, it is strongly encouraged that current eighth graders use FACTS.org to create an ePEP and explore major areas of interest available at their future high school. 32. When will the ePEP on FACTS.org be updated with the new graduation requirements or major areas of interest? What will happen to middle school students that have created an ePEP using the old high school graduation requirements? Due to the reporting requirements for major areas of interest, the revised ePEP will be available in April 2007. If middle school students have created an ePEP prior to April 2007, their ePEP will automatically be converted to the new version. However, these students will need to log in and specify their major area of interest to complete the conversion.
