Do curfews really keep teens out of trouble?

Honestly, I think no they do not keep teens out of trouble. Parents think that curfews will keep teens from doing drugs and smoking and drinking etc. But the fact is that people make bad decision like that during the middle of the day. Everyone makes mistakes, no ones perfect, but curfews dont keep teens from doing stupid things like smoking pot. Parents need to trust their kids more because alot of kids are smart and know whats right and whats wrong. Smart teens will think before they do anything. They dont want to lose trust because losing trust means losing privalages.
