Do cows have four stomachs?

0

Yes. I should know. I live on a dairy farm. No matter what they tell you honey, cows DO have 4 stomachs. Well actually 4 parts of the stomach. Its kinda gross. I’ll explain: First they take a mouthful of food right? Chew it up for a bit, then swallow. Then when the food is digested in the first stomach, they barf it up into their mouths (yes eww) and chew again. This is called chewing their cudd. It what theyre doing when you see cows just sitting there chewing nothing in particular. Then it goes to the second stomach, barf it up, chew, swallow, goes to third, barf, chew, swallow, then on to the fourth. Sounds like alotta work right? Hope this helps!
