Do companies generally produce/market both acrylonitrile and acetonitrile?
I’m currently doing some research on the global acetonitrile and acrylonitrile markets. I understand that acetonitrile is a byproduct in the production process of acrylonitrile. However, I have noticed that most companies (with the exception of a few) manufacturing one, do not market the other. I would like to understand why this is so and also how do they dispose the other (in the production process) when they choose to produce and market only one?
