Do colorblind people resent not seeing in color?

They resent people making fun of them wearing purple and pink.

My father was colour blind and he didn’t resent it, however it used to make him nervous about applying for jobs, because he was a radio technician and needed to distinguish between the colours for negative, positive and earth wires. He trained himself to know the difference, as well as how to pass colour blindness tests. Every other person I’ve met who is colour blind doesn’t seem concerned by it at all. I remember asking someone to type a letter for me (back in the days of typewriters) and she typed the whole thing in red! I pointed this out to her and she swore it was black. Funny thing that – we were both in the Air Force at the time, therefore she would have been through a test to detect any colour-blindness. Anyway she admitted she was colour blind and laughed about her mistake, but there was no sign that she had a problem with being colour blind.
