Do colorants affect the weldability of thermoplastics?
Liquid or dry colorants don t affect weldability unless the percentage of colorant to resin is especially high. This is most common with white or black parts, which often need more pigments than other colors. One thing to be aware of is possible color variation between different batches of the same part. Color variation will sometimes necessitate a change in the setup parameters of your ultrasonic equipment. Do some experimenting prior to starting full production runs.
