Do college dorms allow smaller pets like fish or turtles or something, or are ALL pets forbidden?
Every college will be different but I can tell you that the university I attend does allow a VERY small fish tank (like 2.5-5 gallons). I do not believe hamsters are allowed but, some people have smuggled them in. Turtles require a much larger tank than what you could put in most dorm rooms. Also, keep in mind that your room mate may not want a pet nearby (hamsters are NOISY at night).
