Yes, just like any concrete structure that is exposed to moisture. Depending on the site conditions COFFOR recommends water-proofing or damp-proofing with peel & stick membranes and/or drainage boards. In addition, COFFOR recommends following all other accepted methods for water management, such as proper drainage, compaction of backfill, and management of run-off for the entire site.
