Do cockroaches spread disease?
Yes. Cockroaches are responsible for countless cases of food poisoning each year through the contamination of food and food preparation surfaces and tools. Salmonella, E.Coli and a host of other bacteria thrive in the gut of a cockroach and in eating the contents of the stomach will spill out to digest the food item so it can be lapped up, akin to the way a fly eats.
