Do CO2 cylinders have a tank or pressure gauge?
No. CO2 maintains a constant equilibrium between the gas and liquid phases. Although internal tank pressure can vary with the surrounding temperature, tank pressure remains constant regardless of how much or little of liquefied CO2 is left. After all the liquid has been expanded, only seconds of operation are left. Therefore a pressure gauge is not practical. Can I use any CO2 regulator? NO. Most conventional CO2 regulators have been engineered for beverage equipment. Such applications require low pressure and small flow rates. Common pneumatic equipment requires performance levels far exceeding design capabilities. Cautions Never connect or use the tank with the regulator in a fashion that would allow liquid CO2 into the regulator. ie: upside-down Never expose the tank to temperatures above 130* F ie: Dash of the truck on a 90 degree day Always use proper safety equipment when using tools.
