Do co-sleeping babies really fall off the bed?

She may fall out of the bed. My daughter cosleeps with us and has fallen out twice in 20 months. Both times, however, she was napping on her own. She has NEVER even gotten CLOSE to falling out when we’re sleeping with her…Mama’s instinct, I suppose. At that height (the 16inches), if your daughter fell, all that will happen is your daughter might be a little scared. If you’re still a bit scared, put your daughter between you and your partner. It’s extremely unlikely she’d make it down to the end of the bed without one of you realizing it. Cosleeping is a wonderful and natural thing. It’s how humans have evolved to sleep. I know very few ADULTS who sleep separately from their loved ones; why would you expect a tiny babe to do differently? It offers comfort, safety, and security to the little one. Most cosleepers will transition to their own bed sometime in the pre-school years BTW, everyone I know who had a crib baby has at least one horror story about how their baby learned to climb o
