Do CIC students have to spend the fourth year of their program at CBU in Canada?
The present model for the partnership between CIC and CBU is referred to as a 3 plus 1 year model. In that model, Egyptian students will attend CIC for three years, and then transfer to CBU in Canada to complete their final year. This depends upon students’ English levels and their abilities to obtain student visas to study in Canada. Since there may be a number of reasons why students may not be able to complete their degree in Canada (lack of funds, cannot obtain a student visa, parental objection, etc.), CIC and CBU are developing alternatives for those students to complete their degree in Egypt at CIC. In either case, qualified CIC graduates will receive a CBU degree from CBU.
