Do Chinese people get English sayings tattooed on their bodies?
Check out this website: http://www.engrish.com/ English is used the way that Chinese characters are used in our country, as a design element, not a way to communicate. It is probably as much as a surprise for Chinese speakers and readers to see some of what people have tattooed on their bodies as it is for English speakers to travel to Asia (particularly Thailand, Japan and China) and see how English is used in marketing, on t-shirts and even some of the horrible translations and misspellings that occur. I think this is one of the funniest websites I’ve ever looked at.
