Really this can depend on the chinchilla as some chinchillas don’t like being picked up and handled, some chinchillas tolerate it and some chinchillas enjoy it. Generally chinchillas are not cuddly pets but are very entertaining and will be happy to let you stroke him or/and give him treats!
