Kim Bard, in an article for Scientific American, states that humans are the only primates that actually shed tears from our eyes when we are sad. She goes on to state, however, that chimpanzees "cry" in other ways, such as by whimpering and screaming when they are upset. In this case, no tears clearly does not equal no feelings.
