Do children need an eye exam?

0

Yes. It is very important to have their eyes tested at an early age, especially if there is a family history of conditions such as “squints” and “lazy eyes” as this can be hereditary and needs to be treated as early as possible. We recommend bringing children from the age of 3 years onwards although we can see them before if there is thought to be a problem with their eyes. All children’s eye exams are free on the NHS until they are 16 years old.
