The usual chemical peels that you’re talking about do not go deeply enough into the skin to affect a chicken pox scar. However, if you are talking about a phenol deep peel, then that would affect the scar. A phenol peel, though, is not to be taken lightly; in fact, it’s done in a hospital setting, with a cardiac monitor in place.
