Do charter schools have to produce a School Report Card?
Yes. Charter schools like all public schools must produce and publish a School Report Card. With the exception of the first year of operation of the charter school, the charter school will produce a School Report Card. The School Report Card provides data in five areas (standardized test results, attendance, drop out, school safety, and parent/community involvement) for the previous year of the school’s existence. The School Report Card is due by November 15th of each year. The School Report Card is provided to the parents of the charter school students, the Public Education Department, the local school board and the newspaper.
