For the purposes of this answer, “scheduled charter” means exactly the same thing as “scheduled airline.” They both get more stable schedules than true charters. A scheduled airline at least has a schedule, and the crews for the most part know in advance what days and nights they will be home and away. Charter service can be completely unpredictable. It is usually somewhat variable, and no two missions will be the same, but you can have totally unexpected changes in route and wait times.
