Do chameleons like to swim?

0

Some chameleons have been seen swimming. It is not something you want to try to make your chameleon do. Fischeri, and quadricornis are two species known to have been swimming in shallow pools of water. Chameleons do not have the anatomy design to swim and often one who falls into water and cannot get to safe ground quickly do drown. They often panic and swallow in water as they try to gasp for breath in the throws of panic. Even if able to get out of the water safely, they may develope repitory problems from breathing in the water.
