Do chambers for garage doors have to hold the entire depth of the top tracks in order for the garage door to slide on after testing?

The chamber should have sufficient depth to contain the curve portion of the track. A removable opening can be used at the top rear of the chamber where the top tracks can be installed after testing to roll the door up and down. See figure below.
