Do certain types of cat food determine how their urine will smell?
She could have a bladder infection. That would make her urine smell, as well as make her want to urinate more frequently. It is probably just coincidence with the food change, though if she is not taking in as much water as she was before (because she is eating dry food only) and/or if the dry food is not as high quality as the wet food, she may have developed crystals in her urine, which is a bit more serious than just a bladder infection, and can also lead to a bladder infection as well. Best thing is to replace the litter in her litter box with something non-absorbent (beads work well) make sure the box is very very clean, then once she urinates in it, collect the urine and take it to your vet. The fresher the sample the better, usually within 30 minutes.
