Some batteries are a little slower at giving off power when their cold — usually lead-acid batteries like those in cars. Cell phone batteries should be fine. Refridgeration is often used to extend battery life (although not normally rechargable batteries). The only thing I would be cautious with is condensation when going from very cold to a very warm environment quickly. Otherwise I think you’ll be fine. Hope that helps!
