Yes they can. I’ve seen several cats that have gotten them. Sometimes the grub comes out on it’s own-but I’ve also removed them myself. You can tell if it is a grub or maggott because the hole will be perfectly round. After the grub is out, you can treat the wound with peroxide and bagbalm.
