Do catholics worship icons as greek orthodox do?
Answer Greek Orthodox do not “worship” icons; they “venerate” them. To do otherwise would be against the First Commandment. The Romans have sacred pictures and statues, and actually one well-known representation of an icon (that of Our Mother of Perpetual Help), but they do not venerate the pictures themselves, only those represented in them.
