Do Catholics REALLY talk to the dead?

0

Protestants have been upset with us since the Pope put his foot down about Henry the VIII’s asking for annulments so he could marry younger and younger women to try to have a healthy male heir. This is unlikely to change and it should not upset you. They also mock our devotion to Mary, have attempted to wipe catholics off the face of the earth and despise the attention the recent Pope’s visit to DC/PA/NY received. I do not think praying to saints is speaking to the dead. I do admit my family mixes Catholicism with pagan traditions and we do believe our dead ancestors arrive at the stroke of midnight each November 1st. Halloween is for us also All Hallows Eve (All Saints Day). We celebrate and fear this day as it is said they will return to scold us for our sins and improper behavior. I know it sounds weird but millions of Sicilian and Italian Americans believe it too and we have got it under control. If this can be construed as talking to the dead so be it. I also think of prayer as me
