Do Canadians use artificial snow in summer?

Yes. Early and late in the ski season, when the snow isn’t quite heavy enough or it gets to icy with the rain, it’s quite common for them to use snow machines to improve the conditions for skiers. Usually they don’t need to use them much once it gets into the middle of the season with more regular snowfall, but they do sometimes if the natural snow on the ground isn’t good for skiing on.

AHHHHHHHH NOOO!!! we don’t use artificial snow in the summer, we have cold enough/long enough winters as it is. The only time they use artificial snow is on ski hills when we have a short warm period during the winter and snow melts, or when it gets way to hard and icy.

Well, you can’t use the real thing if you need it for some reason, so….. I don’t miss the snow in summer, but I sure am missing summer by the end of February. I love winter but not enough to have it year round.
