Do Bull Snakes Bite?

0

They can bite, but it’s harmless, although a bite from a big bullsnake will hurt and bleed. But they tend to bluff more than anything. Wild bullsnakes will hiss loudly and rattle their tail like a rattlesnake. I saw my first wild bullsnake a couple of months ago. It was about 4 to 5 feet long and was hissing loudly and striking at me. The hiss will raise the hairs on the back of your neck! In captivity, bullsnakes usually calm down with handling and can become very tame. I have a friend who breeds bullsnakes and has about 300 bullsnakes, gopher snakes, and pine snakes, and most are tame, but there are some with attitudes!
