Do breastfed babies need water in hot weather?
• Breastfed babies do not need extra water, even in hot weather. Breast milk is mostly water and in hot weather, babies tend to go to the breast more often, for short feeds. The extra foremilk is thinner and more refreshing than the fat rich hind-milk.
