Do Brad Pitt + Sean Penn = Dinosaur Dynamite? Monday March 2, 2009 A strange rumor has been sweeping the web lately, to the effect that mega-ultra-superstar actors Brad Pitt and Sean Penn will be lending their voices to the animated dinosaur movie The Tree of Life, to be directed by the notoriously unprolific Terrence Malick (the auteur behind Badlands, Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line). Does this rumor make any sense whatsoever? It’s hard to imagine Malick dipping his hand into animation, and it’s equally hard to imagine Pitt and Penn condescending to mere voice-overs. Perhaps the Hollywood cognoscenti have their facts wrong, and the versatile Penn will gain 200 pounds, grow a thick, feathered hide, and impersonate a live-action Deinonychus.
