Do boxer dogs get along with cats?
I had a couple boxers and always had a cat at the same time and never had any problems. With any breed of dog, you need to teach the dog that the cat is off limits for them. Let them approach the cat on a leash but the instant they try and chase it, bark at it, bite it or anything like that, say ‘No!’ in a loud voice and give a sharp jerk on the leash. Repeat until they are friendly or at least indifferent to the cat. My last boxer and cat would chase each other in a playful manner, it was so funny!
