Do both Classrooms for the Future (CFF) and non-CFF teachers participate in the Instructional Phase of PATI?
Yes, participation in PATI includes all CFF and non-CFF teachers. In addition, school administrators will be participating in PATI. The Instructional Phase of PATI is intended to provide an overview of the impact of technology in Pennsylvania schools. Questions revolve around the changes in instructional practice, gains in student achievement, and the professional development provided to teachers. The key is to get a sense of technology’s impact in the areas just mentioned, as well as determine how 21st century skills are being integrated into classrooms. We have taken time to work with individuals from CFF so that PATI is aligned to the CFF teacher survey instruments. This work helped to prevent duplication of questions. You will see the linkages when the PATI survey asks for CFF teachers to enter their CFF Teacher ID.
