Do Bong Gu Jang. Is it a reasonable place for the 3rd campus?
SKKU is planning it third campus on the Dobong Gu-Jang, near the Dobong subway station. After the announcement of its plan, some criticisms are mounting. “The determination on the location of the third campus should be dealt with careful consideration, because it is one of the core subjects of this VISION 2010+. It can change our school’s image gradually. All possible locations should be discussed” Park, Jong-kuk captain of the University Development Promotion task force team emphasized. “The establishment of the third campus is designed as a boarding school. It requires a huge area. And the environment around the school, traffic and the history of the area where school will be built are important factors in decision of the area. Dobong Gu-jang is not a reasonable location considering various conditions, I think.” He added. ” We examined lot of areas such as Bundang, Uiwang, and Yongin.
