Do Boa Constrictors Become Good Pets?
Snakes in general do not make loving pets; reptiles do not show much or any affection for their owners. However, boas tend to be low-maintenance, because their slow metabolisms only require that they eat a good meal once every few weeks or so. They also don’t require much in the way of exercise and they don’t need a lot of attention or grooming. In that respect, they make good pets. But a lot of people are afraid of snakes, so you may not be able to tell everyone that you have one as a pet.
