Actually grey or black is a determination of subspecies. Anyway. Very sharp recurved teeth, and no regrets on using them, but no, no fangs. Unless you’re prepared to deal with a bite, don’t handle it. If your papa’s got it contained, maybe you can try to convince him that it wasn’t hurting anything but pests and can’t you just take it somewhere and let it go rather than leaving it to starve, which if it is contained and in an area where it’s not just going to overheat and die, actual starvation of a snake can take months. If he’s so insistent on killing it, the least he should do is be humane about it and use a shovel…
