No. Bed bugs have no preference as to whom they are drinking from. A family of five may all be bitten throughout an evening with only one family member displaying signs of bites. In most cases, everyone living in a bed bug infested area will be bitten equally. Bed bugs live only on blood and do not discriminate who the donor is. Pets are also bitten although bed bugs appear to prefer human blood.
