Do baseball scouts only go to varsity high school games?

The proper procedure is for the major league franchise to first inform MBL that they wish to contact the high school with the intent of contacting its athlete department. In turn the school then gives permission for the scout representing the major league franchise to first speak with the head coach who then acts as a temporary liaison for the student or students in question. The student MUST be at least a junior in his second semester and a member of the VARSITY team. The coach and parents of the student MUST be present during the scouts visit. The same procedure would apply if the scout represented a college for scholarship purposes.
