Do barn owls make good pets?
None of the Owls such as the Barn Owls make good pets. Most are nocturnal hunters and the only time they hunt during daylight hours,is in the breeding season.(this is the majority of the species) So it is cruel to expect them to be a pet for your pleasure, In some countries you need a permit or licence to keep birds of prey, you most also buy from an accredited breeder(who must be registered and any birds must be close rung) So why not treat yourself to a Cockatiel or similar, they will be less hasle.
