Barking can be a problem for you and your neighbors but know what you are getting before you get it. Most electronic collars work off the vibrations in the dogs voice box and give an electric pulse. These work well but you need to have the right level of correction. Get one that offers a variety of correction levels. Not every dog is the same and so they may require different levels of correction. Start low and go up from there. If there is too much correction, the dog may yelp when they get the electric pulse and then get another electric pulse for that because the collar can’t tell the difference between a bark and a yelp it only goes on vibrations. Another thing to keep in mind is to always keep an eye on your dogs neck where the collar sits. If they keep barking even when they are getting the electric pulse, it can burn their hair and their neck. This is why it is important to have the collars on when you are home and they are outside and only leave them unattended for short period
