Do band members choose what component they want to perform with on a given day?
No. Every band member auditions for and is assigned to one specific position in one component of the band. No one “floats” from one position to another. Sometimes, however, a member from one component performs with another component when extra parts are called for or to cover leave, sickness, or other absences.
